Dodge has announced a new entry in the NASCAR circuit this week: The Dodge Avenger. The news was broken at the NAIAS this week and was the wrap up of the DiamlerChrysler presentations. And as we know, if you want to race a car in NASCAR, you need to have a street legal version and maybe that's where the bigger news is there. The Avenger is trying to replace the space left by the Stratus which was a thoroughly miserable automobile. We're not too sure how successful the Avenger will be in that role, or in the role of a NASCAR racer. When you're main selling point is heated and cooled cup holders, you're in trouble. Thank goodness for the Magnum and the Viper which were also revealed this year with their racing counterparts. Well, regardless of the hype, or lack there of, Avenger, we welcome you to NASCAR.
